Qui a écrit les paroles ? Et quels étaient l’inspiration ?
Mary: C’était aussi une jolie collaboration en termes de l’écriture. Dan m’envoyait les pistes et généralement, j’avais le premier verset et un peu de coeur… mais Dan était toujours là pour aider à étoffer et présenter un élément essentiel supplémentaire. Nous avons essayé de garder l’inspiration autour d’une romance, mais nous nous sommes poussés nous-mêmes à penser un peu en dehors de cela. Le romantisme n’est pas toujours synonyme de tomber amoureux.
Who has write the lyrics ? And what was the inspiration ?
MARY: It was a pretty even collaboration in terms of the writing. Dan would send me tracks and I would usually get the first verse going and a bit of a hook/chorus happening but Dan would always be the one to help flesh it out and bring in that extra needed element. We tried to keep the inspiration revolving around romance, but pushed ourselves to think a bit outside of the box within that. Romance doesn’t always have to mean falling in love.

MARY: Ca a commencé comme une blague entre nous deux, quelque chose que nous pourrions dire chaque fois que nous parlons du thème de l’album et comment il a été mis en place. Et puis nous n’avons pas pu l’enlever de nos têtes.
Dan: oui, prenant et concis.

MARY: It started out as an inside joke between the two of us, something we would say whenever we would talk about the theme of the album and how it was shaping up. And then we couldn’t get it out of our heads.
